THE WICKED COOL GOODS GIFT LIST
10 Retirement Gifts for the First Year of Free Time
A retirement gift should fit the year ahead, not the job left behind. These ten are for the box of old tapes, the sleep schedule that no longer has an alarm, and the feet that spent thirty years standing. Each entry says what the product does and which claims come only from the seller.
NO. 01
iMemories
A mail-in service that digitizes tapes, film, and photos.
For the closet of VHS tapes. iMemories is a mail-in service: box up videotapes, film reels, slides, prints, or negatives, and the company converts them to digital files you can stream and share. Pricing is per item and set on the offer page. It is a service, not a gadget, so give it with a box and a plan to fill it.
Price: $14.99 for the SafeShip kit, plus $14.99 per videotape or $0.49 per photo, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 02
ThePhotoStick
A USB stick that backs up computer photos on its own.
For the laptop full of unsorted photos. ThePhotoStick plugs into a Windows or Mac computer and, per the maker, finds and copies photos and videos with no software to install. The maker's capacity figures, up to 60,000 files on the largest size, are its own. Good for someone who does not want a cloud account.
Price: From $34.99, by storage size, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 03
Dodow
A light metronome for paced breathing at bedtime.
For a sleep schedule with no alarm clock. Dodow projects a slow pulsing light on the ceiling and you match your breathing to it. The maker says it is designed to help you fall asleep. It is a breathing pacer, not a treatment for insomnia or any condition.
Price: $59 for one, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 04
TheraFoot
An EMS foot mat with 8 modes and 19 levels.
For thirty years on concrete floors. TheraFoot Pro is an electrical muscle stimulation mat for the feet with 8 modes and 19 intensity levels. The maker markets it for foot and leg pain; that is a seller claim, not a medical one. Anyone with a pacemaker or a circulation condition should ask a doctor before using an EMS device.
Price: $49.99 for one, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 05
ICE BOX
A lockable organizer for wills, deeds, and passports.
For the paperwork retirement generates. ICE Box is a lockable box with twelve labeled folders, a pouch for small valuables, and a USB stick for digital copies. The maker calls it fireproof and water-resistant; no tested fire rating is cited on the offer page, so treat it as an organizer first and a safe second.
Price: $129.99 for the Original, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 06
Audien Atom 2
A small rechargeable hearing aid sold direct.
Only if they have said they want one. Audien Atom 2 is a small rechargeable in-ear hearing aid sold direct by the maker at a lower price than clinic-fitted devices. It is not fitted by an audiologist, and the sound-quality claims are the maker's. A hearing test first is the right order.
Price: $239 for one, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 07
VelaSleep
A contoured memory foam neck pillow.
For the neck that spent decades at a desk. VelaSleep is a contoured memory foam pillow with what the maker calls a cervical decompression design. The alignment and pain-relief claims are the seller's and not verified here. Whether the contour helps depends on how the person sleeps.
Price: $59.99 for one pillow, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 08
Cozy Charge
A rechargeable hand warmer with power bank.
For the morning walks that replace the commute. Cozy Charge is a rechargeable hand warmer with three heat settings that the maker says can also give a phone one full charge. Heat-up and runtime figures are the maker's own.
Price: $34.95 for one, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 09
Hear Direct
A TV headset for more evenings at home.
More free time usually means more TV, and more arguments about the volume. The maker says the HearDirect headset lets one person set their own level while everyone else keeps theirs. It is a TV audio device, not a hearing aid. Battery and compatibility figures are the maker's, and the connection method is not on the offer page.
Price: $79.99 for one, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
NO. 10
Memorygram
Weekly questions that turn their stories into a book.
Retirement is when people finally have time to tell the long version. Memorygram sends a question each week by email, text, or phone call, and the answers and photos become a hardcover book. The phone-call option suits someone who would rather talk than type. It takes weeks to finish, and prices are on the offer page.
Price: $123.50 for the Legacy Book, checked 2026-10-23. Check the seller for current price and return conditions.
How to pick one
Pick the thing they keep saying they will get to. The tape box and the photo stick cover the "one day I will sort those" pile. The stories they keep telling at dinner point to Memorygram. The sleep light, foot mat, and pillow are for a body that is about to change its routine. The hearing aid is a specific gift for a specific conversation, not a surprise.
What we did not do
We did not test these products ourselves. Each blurb is based on the seller's own description and our product assessment. A refund window is a way to test a claim, not proof the claim is true.

Before ordering, record the exact model, what is included, and the delivered price with shipping, any subscription or replacement costs, and return postage. Read the return conditions for opened or used items and the deadline. A return window is not a guarantee of results or a cost-free trial, and a sale percentage is not evidence of value.
